The Madisons story
Madisons was founded by Mark and Uzay Lynch in 1996. Prior to this, they had acquired some hospitality experience but neither of them had owned a restaurant before.
Uzay and Mark admit they made many mistakes in the first two years of trading, but worked long hours and were completely devoted to the success of their business. Slowly but surely, they learned all the dos and don’ts of running a restaurant, honed their skills and, by constantly seeking customer feedback, created the unforgettable Madisons dining experience that is known today.
Mark is the visionary who runs the business and, since the initial opening of Madisons, has turned three other restaurants around. Uzay is the smile that greets customers and also works in the kitchen, creating new and exciting recipes. When their children were of age, they also started working at Madisons, making it a true, family business.
When Uzay and Mark were approached to franchise the business, it made perfect sense. Twenty-three years after starting their business, they were ready and willing to share their knowledge and experience with the next generation of restauranteurs, in order to fast track them to replicate the success that Uzay and Mark now enjoy.
