The Holiday Franchise Company launches the “Race for LifeLine” appeal today to help play their part in supporting the ABTA LifeLine charity throughout the second lockdown. Luke Western the Head of Sales and Marketing plans to run 19 miles a week and Chris Storey the Training and Development Executive plans to cycle 190 miles a month until we hit our target of £1,900.
The Race for LifeLine campaign will help raise essential funds to allow ABTA LifeLine to help those who have lost their jobs or are facing other hardships because of the pandemic and the second lockdown.
John McEwan, Chairman of Holidaysplease & Ex-Chairman of ABTA has said. “I’m very happy that The Holiday Franchise Company is raising funds for ABTA Lifeline. So many colleagues in the travel industry have either lost their jobs or are about to and they often turn to ABTA Lifeline for assistance… Please support the appeal by The Holiday Franchise Company on behalf of ABTA LifeLine, who do so much good to help colleagues in distress.”
ABTA LifeLine was set up to help people in the travel industry when they need it most.
Sometimes it only takes a small change in circumstance to tip the balance and turns a manageable situation into an unmanageable one, and let’s face it, 2020 that thrown a lot of people more than a small change.
COVID-19 knocked us all, and we’d like to do our bit to help those most in need as winter approaches.
For those that have been made redundant, furloughed, or self-employed and are struggling to manage during the pandemic ABTA LifeLine are there to support. From helping buy essential groceries to debt and benefit advice, payment of priority bills, redeployment, and wellbeing support, they will do what we can to help you and your family in your time of need.
